The Calgary Flames chose Ladislav in the seventh round (175th
overall) of the 1994 Entry Draft. In 1995-96, he scored one
goal
in five games with Calgary. Through four games in 1997-98, he
notched one assist. On Feb. 7, 1998, he was traded to the
Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for David Cooper.
Prior to playing professionally, Ladislav spent two seasons in
the
WHL. After two games with Brandon in 1993-94, he tallied a
career-high 33 goals in 69 games for Swift Current. In 1994-95,
he recorded career-bests with 60 assists and 92 points in 65
games. Ladislav made his professional debut with Saint John
of
the AHL, playing in one game during 1994-95. From 1995-97, he
tallied 56 goals and 74 assists in 149 games for Saint John.
