Dragon

It ran through the night.
Reaching up as it took flight.
It's eyes gleamed in the dark.
Over the treetops, over the park.

If seen some would gasp.
When the fire came from this giant mass.
It flew through the misty haze.
Lost as if it were a maze.

It's tail more than 40 feet.
It's wings made a steady beat.
It's shadow appearing on the ground.
It's breath making not a sound.

It brushed it's whiskers with it's claws.
It stomped it's scaly paws.
It inhaled the freezing air.
And welcomes you to the dragon's lair.
